About the Author

Keb' Mo' is an award-winning musician and author. He has released 13 albums, won three Grammy Awards, and been nominated for 10 more. He has also written two books, My American Blues Story and The Keb' Mo' Cookbook.

Keb' Mo' was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, in 1951. He began playing guitar at the age of 11, and by the time he was 18, he was playing professionally. In the early 1980s, he moved to Los Angeles, where he began working with some of the biggest names in the music industry, including B.B. King, Eric Clapton, and Bonnie Raitt.

In 1994, Keb' Mo' released his debut album, Keb' Mo'. The album was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to launch Keb' Mo's career as a solo artist. He has since released 12 more albums, all of which have been met with critical acclaim.

In addition to his music career, Keb' Mo' is also a successful author. His memoir, My American Blues Story, was published in 2016. The book was a New York Times bestseller, and it won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work.
